Buscamos recursos para ayudar con este problema relativamente no abordado, la toxicidad financiera, y ayudamos a difundir la informaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de nuestra red de trabajadores sociales, proveedores y socios sin fines de lucro. Nos conectamos con nuestros socios favoritos de la industria, organizaciones de defensa del c\u00e1ncer de mama, organizaciones sin fines de lucro y, lo m\u00e1s importante, pacientes. La Fundaci\u00f3n para el C\u00e1ncer de Mama Alamo organiza un programa fant\u00e1stico centrado en la voz de los pacientes. All\u00ed, aprendimos sobre nuevas investigaciones, protocolos de tratamiento y los problemas m\u00e1s importantes para todos los socios de este espacio, que se han unido para intercambiar ideas y resolver estos importantes problemas. La diversidad en los ensayos cl\u00ednicos, los efectos secundarios del tratamiento y, FINALMENTE, la toxicidad financiera, estuvieron entre los principales problemas discutidos y representados.<\/p>\n<p>En nuestro stand de Pink Fund, incluso tuvimos la suerte de conocer en persona a un antiguo beneficiario. Debido a que financiamos a pacientes de todo el pa\u00eds, esto es algo que normalmente no tenemos la oportunidad de hacer. Nuestro personal tambi\u00e9n tuvo la gran oportunidad de conectarse con un grupo diverso de investigadores, onc\u00f3logos y organizaciones de defensa de los pacientes. Nos conectamos con Tigerlily Foundation, The Breasties, Touch y Plus, solo por nombrar algunos.<\/p>\n<p>El espacio de exhibici\u00f3n estaba lleno de empresas farmac\u00e9uticas y de dispositivos m\u00e9dicos, que tra\u00edan nuevos medicamentos, pruebas y recursos para ayudar a los pacientes. Una asistencia cada vez mayor de organizaciones sin fines de lucro que tambi\u00e9n ayudaban de diferentes maneras estaban presentes, y los asistentes defensores de los pacientes estaban en su punto m\u00e1s alto. Por primera vez en mis tres a\u00f1os, hubo un paciente incluido como orador en un panel plenario. Las organizaciones sin fines de lucro tuvieron sus propios paneles, centrados en sus propios mensajes, con socios de la industria no solo asistiendo sino participando y parec\u00eda que se hab\u00edan agregado m\u00e1s eventos de defensa de los pacientes.<\/p>\n<p>Estos pueden parecer detalles menores para muchos, pero para una organizaci\u00f3n que est\u00e1 trabajando arduamente para maximizar el mensaje de toxicidad financiera para los pacientes en tratamiento, estos son hitos significativos. Finalmente, no solo se est\u00e1 incluyendo la voz del paciente, sino que se la est\u00e1 buscando de una manera productiva.
