More Than $5 Million In Financial Assistance Distributed
"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they have the heart.”
– Elizabeth Andrew
After a year of volunteering virtually, we celebrated our volunteers on June 10, at The Village Club. We were so excited to share that since 2006, The Pink Fund has made more than $5 million in bill payments on behalf of breast cancer patients in treatment.
Volunteers are the heart of The Pink Fund. We are so grateful to have them help carry out our mission. We also want to thank Joan Primo and The Village Club for their significant support of our mission.
Joan was named our 2021 Volunteer of The Year. Her contributions range from sitting on our Qualified Recipient Grants Committee, to serving as a past chair of our signature fundraiser, Dancing With The Survivors. Joan is a fierce advocate for The Pink Fund, helping to raise tens of thousands of dollars for the mission.
In 2020, The Village Club through its foundation has granted The Pink Fund $8,000, and this year a whopping $21,000 understanding that our mission is essential to so many women and families in Southeastern Michigan.
