Dancing For The Survivors Dancer Application
Thank you for your interest in dancing at Pink Fund’s signature fundraising event, Dancing For The Survivors. The event will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the Mint.
The evening will include cocktails, dinner, and dancing. It will feature ballroom dances performed by local breast cancer survivors partnered with professional dancers from Fred Astaire Dance Studios. All dancers will receive complimentary dance lessons to prepare for their performance.
As a dancer, you would be committing to the following:
- Attend 8 dance lessons provided by Fred Astaire Dance Studios (FADS), West Bloomfield. You will be matched with a FADS Professional Instructor, who will teach you a two-minute performance. Dance lessons will take place from June through October. Lessons will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for you and your instructor. If you must cancel a lesson for any reason, it will be up to the instructor and the studio’s discretion to reschedule.
- Speak with Pink Fund’s marketing team.
- Provide high-resolution photos for media use.
- Agree to have some of your lessons videotaped and participate in recorded interviews. These video clips will be edited and played at the event.
- Provide your own hair, makeup, costume and shoes for the event.
- Promote and fundraise for the event through your personal network. Each dancer will have their own unique fundraising page dedicated to their efforts.
- Agree to raise a minimum of $6,000, with a goal of $10,000. Each $ 3,000 raised will allow Pink Fund to provide up to 90 days of financial support to a breast cancer patient.
- Attend and perform your dance at Dancing For The Survivors.
Pink Fund will provide complimentary tickets for the dancer and one guest. Dancers are selected through an application process. If you would like to be considered as a dancer for the 2025 event, click the button below.
