“I started chemotherapy in March. I live paycheck to paycheck, so when I had to change from working full time to part time, I was forced to rely on my family for support. I received disability, but found out in July I have to pay back $10,000. I lost my health insurance in November so I had the burden of trying to come up with the cobra health payment. Money from Pink Fund gives me a chance to focus on my health journey without focusing on how my rent or car insurance will be paid. This is a gift from God to be able to not worry about these bills, especially when I receive my last disability check in December. I don’t have to worry about having a place to stay for the next three months. I am truly thankful to Pink Fund for lifting this financial burden.”
