Pink Fund Announces CVS Specialty Awareness Campaign
Hourly in-store radio advertising in 9,000 CVS specialty locations will run messaging about Pink Fund’s services throughout the month of October.
Pink Fund is proud to announce an awareness campaign with CVS Specialty to educate communities regarding the financial bridge program Pink Fund offers to breast cancer patients in active treatment for the disease.
From October 1-21, all CVS Specialty locations will air hourly ads via their in-store radio advertising, with messages of how to Get Help and Give Help. With approximately 9,000 locations nationwide the campaign will help elevate Pink Fund’s mission during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This advocacy opportunity is critical to helping patients and the public learn of Pink Fund as a trusted national resource for education and financial support.
"Pink Fund depends on partners like CVS to help spread the word about our services. These 9,000 CVS stores are in rural, urban and suburban communities and this messaging will allow us to reach a diverse population of people affected by breast cancer," said Pink Fund Co-founder and CEO Molly MacDonald.
"At the same time, Pink Fund needs to raise tens of thousands of dollars to meet the needs of patients and their families who are struggling with making their basic household bill payments while in treatment for breast cancer. Loss of income coupled with additional medical expenses can impact treatment adherence, lead to medically related bankruptcies and in the most egregious cases, earlier mortality when patients stop treatment and return to work."
The awareness campaign is expected to bring in an uptick of requests for help throughout the month. To help us meet this increase in need, consider making a donation here.
